If you’ve ever seen anyone with a fake/temporary tan, chances are you were able to tell right away. Most self tanners leave an orange to red tint over the skin which can look very unnatural, they can be streaky or uneven, and many times they don’t have a pleasant smell.
Because of all of this, I was super excited when I tried out Loving Tan’s Deluxe Mousse (In medium: For light to medium skin tones) since it has none of these issues.
Before we get into this review, it really should be noted that the Deluxe Self Tanning Applicator really makes a HUGE difference in applying the product and getting an even tan all around (you receive it free with the code dupediaries when you purchase a mousse; I highly recommend it, the whole process will go by smoothly and quickly).

The directions are clearly labeled on the bottle to follow along. Basically apply some mousse on the mitt and rub on your skin in sections to get an even tan (This product dries down fast, but be sure to wait 60 seconds before putting clothes on over the area you put the mousse on. Other than that first minute, this product doesn’t move or transfer from where you apply it).
For the photographs above, I only used a thin layer for each leg and I feel like it really gave me a nice and very natural looking tan.
It is recommended that you use it on clean, dry, and exfoliated skin… trust me you will get the best and most natural results is you exfoliate your skin before using this product. The product goes on a lot smoother and even if you prepare your skin for the application.

As far as how long it lasts… well you certainly won’t need to be extra cautious at the beach or if you plan on going swimming. To get this tan off, you really have to exfoliate a few times. It’s not going to stain your clothes and ruin them, once it’s dried it’s there. So you won’t have to worry about it getting everywhere or dripping down your skin.
After you apply it on and wait the 6 hrs (this is for the deluxe mousse, there is also a 2hr mousse available), be sure to rise off well… I tested out to see what would happen if you left it on longer than 6 hrs… let’s just say one leg was very goldenly orange. For a natural tone/result be sure to FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS labeled on the bottle.
You should also reeeaaalllyy take advantage of the code to receive a free application mitt with a mousse purchase, if you decide not to use the mitt, your hands WILL get stained. I could imagine that would not be fun…or easy to take off.
Overall what did I think of the Loving Tan Mousse?
I really loved it and enjoyed the results it left me with. It was a bit odd at first because I had never tried a tanning mousse before, but it’s really easy to get the hang of and a good way to get that tan in without actually having to try to bronze up in the sun.
Other great products from Loving Tan I’ve tried:
Bronze Shimmer Luminous Cream (Medium): This had a similar effect as the Deluxe Bronzing Mousse, however this one leave more of a radiant glow like as if there’s highlight on the skin. It’s really pretty.
Tan Removing & Skin Polishing Glove: This worked great to help me really exfoliate my skin a bit more before applying the mousse, it left me nice and soft. It was also really efficient in removing the tan (Worked a lot faster than the body scrubs and exfoliants I tried using).
Easy To Reach Back Applicator For Self Tanning: For the most part I was able to reach the majority of my body when I was using the tanning mousse, but this tool made it zoo much easier trying to get parts of my back that were harder for me to reach. This did leave the same even finish as like when I used the applicator mitt.
